A Unique Design Stance
What makes design most fun for me is really developing an understanding of my clients. Everyone is truly different, and reflecting that individuality in their home or office spaces is what I love. I call it “expressing one’s essence.” I’m quick to hone in on a client’s style preferences and lifestyle rhythms. I use that information to design spaces that don’t feel “designed,” just naturally beautiful and inviting. I want to be invisible, displaying only my client’s essence front and center!
“Nan is a talented designer who makes it so easy to make the best decisions. She narrows a world of choices into a very unique and custom look. We totally remodeled our family room, which has a new “WOW” factor Nan helped me create.” - Mary H.
A Passion for Travel
I love to incorporate unique pieces into my work. And I adore traveling! I’ve visited Italy, France, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean. I find inspiration in the art, architecture, and history of Western Europe. Traveling to Italy recently I fell in love with the gorgeous hand-crafted tile, artistically crafted wrought iron lighting, and of course the incredible stonework of marble tables and accents. Old-world style can even be juxtaposed with the most modern design. I bring it all together, beautifully and with a unique style that’s all about you.
A Love of Design
Design is my second career, but my first love! After years in a more technical career, I am thoroughly enjoying applying my artistic sensibilities to my work now. I returned to school to study interior design at Fairfield University, following my passion for creating distinctive environments highlighting one of a kind pieces.
