Design Plan & Product Selection
Creating a Cohesive Design Plan
My interior design plan will create a space that reflects the mood, function, and style you envisioned. This means selecting just the right individual elements, from floor coverings to ceiling lights and all of the layers in between.
Because the individual pieces of furniture, fabric selections, and even paint textures work in concert to bring your look to life, it’s important to carry respect for the design plan through the entire project. As a general practice, I do request that clients always purchase products we select together through me. This keeps the design plan cohesive, and ensures that your items are crafted to just the right specifications. Because I place orders only with the most reputable sources, I can trust that items will be delivered as expected. This way I know you’ll be thrilled with the results, as even small changes in height, fabric, or color can really alter the design plan as a whole. That doesn’t mean that if you see an accent piece to die for, you shouldn’t bring it to my attention! I may be able to find the same item for you at a better price, or at a higher quality.
Once the design plan is in place, it’s time to place orders for products. You can expect to put a 50% deposit on the items we’ve selected together. I will coordinate all orders, and pass along a percentage of any professional discounts that apply to your selections. In some cases, my vendors can help you save 10% to 25% off retail pricing – a great reason to work with a professional designer!
